Your Appointment
Here at our practice, we want to make sure that appointments are timely and made to suit your schedule best. Bookings can be done online 24/7 by clicking on the BOOK NOW button on our website, or if you prefer to speak to someone, our patient relations coordinator will happily find the perfect time for you to see one of our dentists.
Once you have booked your appointment and provided us with your mobile number, we will send you a SMS confirmation 48 hours prior to your scheduled time to ensure everything is set.
what to expect on your first visit
On your first visit, we recommend you to come 10 minutes early to fill in a patient registration form. This will assist us in ensuring that our day's appointments run on schedule, allowing us to spend more time on giving you a thorough examination.
Your initial consultation will involve a comprehensive examination to assess the state of your current oral health and discuss what is happening in your mouth. This may involve the following (but is not limited to):
- Taking diagnostic x-rays
- Bite check
- Gum analysis
- Soft tissue review
- Teeth charting and recording
- Taking intra-oral photographs
We then formulate a customised dental treatment plan for you.
We encourage this to be a two-way conversation between you and us. You are welcome to tell us your concerns and ask any questions without fear of judgment, allowing you to make informed decisions going forward. We want you to feel comfortable and make this a positive and exciting journey to a healthier mouth.
Cancellation Policy
At New Leaf Dentists, your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Our team prepares in advance for each visit to ensure your treatment runs smoothly and comfortably.
We understand that life can be busy and plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the appointment time to another patient who may be waiting for care.

As a courtesy, we send SMS reminders 72 hours prior to your appointment, and where needed, a follow-up SMS or phone call the day before if we have not received an SMS confirmation. These reminders are provided as a helpful service; however, appointments remain the patient’s responsibility to attend or reschedule with the required notice period.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend an appointment without notice, may incur a minimum short notice cancellation fee of $50, which may be applied at the discretion of practice management.
Cancellation fees are non-refundable.
For extended or complex appointments, where a deposit has been required to secure the booking, part or all of the deposit may be retained in cases of late cancellations, repeated short-notice cancellations, or missed appointments.
This policy supports fair access to appointment availability for all patients and helps ensure that clinical time is used effectively.
Unexpected dental issues may happen at any time, and urgent care may be required for concerns such as severe tooth pain, broken or knocked-out teeth, and other dental injuries. Emergency dental services focus on assessing and addressing the immediate concern while discussing potential next steps.
Same-day appointments may be available depending on the urgency of the situation. Emergency treatment options can include temporary restorations, extractions, and pain management strategies. If you are experiencing a dental emergency during our regular opening hours, contact us as soon as possible on 02 4367-6222 to allow for a timely response.
After-Hours & Emergency Care
If you require dental care outside of our regular opening hours, please contact your nearest hospital emergency department or call 000 if your situation is urgent or life-threatening.
For dental concerns that cannot wait until we reopen, we recommend contacting an after-hours dental service or emergency dentist in your area.
