Welcome To New Leaf Dentists

A Dental Clinic That Cares About You

Every single detail at New Leaf Dentists was thought about thoroughly, with the patients' comfort and safety at the top of the list of what we aim to deliver. We hope you will enjoy your trips to the dentist as much as we enjoy serving and giving you an experience that you'd be happy to remember.

Trusted & Professional Dental Clinic in Erina

Located at Erina Plaza right on the Central Coast Highway (formerly The Entrance Road), our practice has been serving patients throughout Erina, East Gosford, Terrigal, and the broader Central Coast region since 2015.

It all began as a dream and a vision to do better:

  • To provide better dentistry
  • To give a better experience
  • To help our patients recognise that their oral health is a priority
  • And help them turn a new leaf in the way they look after themselves

Owned and operated by a local family, our goal is to provide a professional yet approachable and comfortable environment for patients of all ages.

Having established ourselves through the years as a trusted dental provider in Erina, we have grown from a two-chair practice to now having five treatment rooms. This enables us to extend our services to more individuals, couples, and families as we respond to the growth of the Central Coast region as well.

While integrating modern facilities with updated techniques, we built a good foundation and great team members who are dedicated to making your dental visits as pleasant as possible, ensuring you feel at ease from your first phone call to the moment you arrive and thereafter. We believe in building lasting relationships with our patients, fostering trust, and delivering personalised care.

If this sounds good to you and you’d like to see someone new to take you through your oral health journey, all you need to do is get in touch.

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is required in full on the day of the treatment. For long procedures or appointments requiring laboratory work or sedation, a deposit may be necessary to secure your booking.

We understand that sometimes, times can be tough financially. If you are concerned about this, please give our practice a call prior to your appointment so we can discuss available options.

DEPOSITS

We require a deposit for certain long appointments to guarantee your appointment, as well as for extensive procedures that involve laboratory work or sedation (as this entails an appointment for a sedationist to attend).

Infection Control

The Dental Board of Australia has strict guidelines on infection control that outline how to prevent or minimise the risk of spreading infectious diseases in the dental practice. As a patient, you have the right to know whether your dentist is compliant with these guidelines or not, so that you can be confident that your health is not at risk.

At New Leaf Dentists, we take our infection control very seriously and have stringent protocols to ensure we continuously comply with Australian Standards. It is at the forefront of our minds as we commence our day until the lights go out at night. Our team undergoes regular training to stay on top of this very important aspect of our practice. It is our minimum expectation that the 5 factors outlined below are adhered to at all times.

STANDARD PRECAUTIONS OF INFECTION CONTROL IN OUR PRACTICE

  • Hand Hygiene: Since hands are the most common mode of disease transmission, it is important that your dentist regularly cleans his/her hands before and after patient treatment.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): This involves wearing of gloves, masks, gowns, protective eye wear for our clinical staff, and protective eye wear for the patient. This is to protect the skin and the mucous membranes from exposure to infectious or potentially infectious materials in spray or splatter.

  • Environmental Surfaces: Dental health care providers must know the contaminated zones and clean zones within the operatory area. Contaminated areas must be cleaned and disinfected following every patient’s treatment.

  • Patient Care Equipment: This includes reprocessing of instruments that must comply with Australian and New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 4815 “All steps necessary to make a contaminated reusable device ready for its intended use”. Each reusable instrument must be cleaned, inspected, sterilised using steam sterilisers (also knows as “autoclave”) and stored in a clean, dry place. This process needs to be monitored and if possible, tracked regularly. Any disposable single-use items must be disposed of after use.

  • Injury Prevention: This involves the handling of sharps, contaminated waste, and the management of spills and potentially infectious matter.

When you visit us at our dental clinic in Erina, you’re welcome to have a tour of our sterilisation area so you can feel comfortable in knowing that we do our best to minimise the risk of infection at our practice. We believe that this forms part of our responsibility to our community here on the Central Coast.
